Terms and disclaimer

The short version: pass.new is free, you use it at your own risk, and we can't guarantee anything. The details are below.

Who we are

pass.new is operated by HSPINK & COMPANY - FZCO, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean that company. You can reach us at hello at pass dot new.

Using pass.new

By using pass.new, including its website, tools, emails and API, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

No guarantees

pass.new is provided free, "as is" and "as available". We work hard to make it safe and reliable, but we make no promises or warranties of any kind, whether stated or implied. In particular, we don't guarantee that:

Your responsibility

You're responsible for how you use pass.new and for what you do with anything it produces. That includes keeping your own copies and backups, keeping your blocks, links and access codes safe, checking that a tool does what you need before you rely on it, and not relying on pass.new as the only way to protect or reach anything important, such as money, cryptocurrency, accounts or documents.

Limit of our liability

As far as the law allows, we, and our owners, directors, staff and contributors, are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind that comes from using, or not being able to use, pass.new. This includes lost passwords, lost or stolen funds or cryptocurrency, lost data, lost access to accounts, lost profits, and any indirect or knock-on loss, even if we were told it might happen.

If, despite this, we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to £10.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that can't be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use pass.new as a consumer, you keep any rights the law says can't be taken away.

Fair use

Don't use pass.new for anything illegal, to harm or deceive anyone, to share material you have no right to share, or to attack, overload or get around the limits of the service. We may block any use that we think breaks these terms.

Privacy

Passwords are generated in your browser and never sent to us. Links you share are encrypted in your browser, and the key stays in the link, so we can't read them. We only count anonymous totals: no cookies, no tracking. The totals include things like which country and network visits come from, the type of device and browser, the site that linked here, and roughly how long pages stay open. We never store IP addresses or follow anyone from page to page. If you give us an email address for a reminder or alert, we use it only for that.

Changes and law

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute.
